From the logbooks of the Coroner’s Caddy

When you drive pretty much cross-country in a 17-foot hearse with a dead termite strapped to the roof, you’re bound to collect a few stories. See the people we met, the facial expressions they’ve made and the good times we’ve shared (for some reason, all termites declined to be interviewed).

Fort Myers, Florida

Fort Myers Pest Control

The 2019 Sentricon® System Deader Than Dead Tour kicked off in Fort Myers, Florida, where Fort Myers Pest Control demonstrated how it has grown its termite business with the Sentricon system and succeeded in sharing termite-annihilating tactics with “snowbirds,” part-time residents who aren’t native to the South. Many customers of Fort Myers Pest Control live out of state and aren’t aware of the threat of termites or the damage they can cause. That’s where their team of termite pros comes in to help with consumer education and awareness.

Stop 2: Houston, Texas

Houston, Texas

ABC Home & Commercial Services

The Coroner’s Caddy rolled into the heart of the Southwest to visit ABC Home & Commercial Services in Houston, the second stop on its cross-country termite awareness road trip. Committed to providing environmentally responsible and reliable services, the termite pros at ABC Home & Commercial Services hosted a community event, featuring a ribbon-cutting and family-friendly cookout with the Cy-Fair Chamber of Commerce, and provided a charitable installation of the Sentricon® system to a local homeowner impacted by Hurricane Harvey. Along with becoming a Certified Sentricon Specialist a year ago, the company has seen additional success by offering homeowners preventative warranties for homes susceptible to future pest damage.

Mother Nature’s Pest & Lawn

The Sentricon® System Deader Than Dead Tour rolls on. The Coroner’s Caddy visited the termite specialists at Mother Nature’s Pest & Lawn, the third stop on its cross-country termite awareness road trip. A family-owned and -operated business since 1979, Mother Nature’s gave back to the community during the Sentricon System Deader Than Dead Tour by providing a charitable installation of the Sentricon system at Grace Home, a local women’s center. The Coroner’s Caddy also took a trip to city hall and the local fire and police departments, whose buildings are protected by the Sentricon system.

Stop 8: Greensboro, North Carolina

Greensboro, North Carolina

Stark Exterminators

It’ll take more than a few termites to stop the Sentricon® System Deader Than Dead Tour. In Greensboro, North Carolina, the Coroner’s Caddy rolled into the Southern Ideal Home Show to visit the pest management experts at Stark Exterminators. The Stark team educated both home show visitors and Deader Than Dead Tour members about the breadth of properties they’ve protected using the Sentricon® system, from commercial lots to countless private residences.

Stop 9: Greenville, South Carolina

Greenville, South Carolina

Spencer Pest Services

The Sentricon® System Deader Than Dead Tour rolls on. The Coroner’s Caddy traveled to Greenville, South Carolina, spreading the word of the termite threat. In Greenville, Spencer Pest Services donated to the local nonprofit Making Strides Against Breast Cancer to demonstrate how their female-owned pest company uses the Sentricon system to protect their community.

Stop 10: Nashville, Tennessee

Nashville, Tennessee

All-American Pest Control Inc.

The Sentricon® System Deader Than Dead Tour traveled west to Nashville for its sixth stop, where the Deader Than Dead Tour team met with All-American Pest Control to educate homeowners and business owners about the growing termite threat. During the tour stop, All-American awarded a community member with the service-based Hometown Hero Award. Established to “celebrate all the good people in Nashville who keep our families, schools, churches and community safe and strong,” the Hometown Hero Award represents All-American’s core values and annually rewards homeowners, military service members, and nonprofit organizations with 10 years of free pest control and termite protection.

Stop 11: Monroe, Connecticut

Monroe, Connecticut

AAA ABC Exterminating Inc.

The Sentricon® System Deader Than Dead Tour has taken the country by storm, but as it made its final stop in Monroe, Connecticut, there was still work to be done. The pest management professionals at ABC Exterminating joined forces with the Deader Than Dead Tour team to spread awareness about the dangers of termites to homeowners, relying on their nearly 25 years of expertise using the Sentricon system. ABC Exterminating upheld its mission of protecting and improving the community by combining efforts with the Monroe Playground Foundation to turn an old, wooden community playground into a termite-proof structure that will provide children with a fun and engaging play space.
